Blue Circular Economy Innovation Workshop - 27th November, 2019
A Stakeholder Workshop which aims to convert derelic fishing nets into Business Opportunities
As you may already know, the Blue Circular Economy is an EU Horizon 2020 (Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme, NPA) funded transnational project that helps SMEs that offer products and services, within fishing gear recycling solutions, to attain a great market reach.
Professor Martin Charter, from the Centre for Sustainable Design, UK, will be leading the Blue Circular Economy Innovation System Workshop focussed on products manufactured from reused/recycled fishing gear.
Workshop attendees will benefit from:
- Expert advice and information from Professor Martin Charter;
- Networking with key stakeholders;
- An overview of the local business innovation opportunities and challenges related to converting waste fishing gear into products and services;
- Updates on the Extended Producer Responsibility Scheme and related policies.
The workshop will take place at NTNU in Ålesund from 09:00-16:00 on the 27th of November 2019.
